One Night in the Tropics Event
The University of Florida-IFAS, Tropical Research and Education Center is extremely grateful for the incredible participation at the 4th annual One Night in the Tropics event that was celebrated October 19th at Schnebly’s Winery and Brewery.
Our agricultural community came together to celebrate our industry and mutually take a respite from the recovery efforts sustained after Hurricane Irma, to support our research and be committed to enjoy the company of friends, eating great cuisine featuring local produce, drinking tropical fruit wines and beers and having a delightful time.
That evening, we had close to 200 guests attending the event and more than 20 sponsors supporting the affair. The community involvement and funding of this year’s event will assist the Tropical Research and Education Center to continue providing the much-needed research for the agricultural industry in Miami-Dade County.
The Tropical Research and Education Center acknowledges everyone's commitment to our institution. No words can express our gratitude for the continuous pledge to our programs.
We are thankful for trusting and supporting the work our scientists are continuously doing for the community. Their vow as a researcher of a land-grant institution is to provide solutions to the agricultural industry. TREC faculty will continue doing research, extension and teaching programs that will be useful to the community.
