B. Castro
Brigette Castro is a MS student in Environmental Engineering. She received her BS in Environmental Engineering from University of Miami. Mrs. Castro previously worked for Miami-Dade County’s Department of Environmental Resources Management for four years as an Engineer with the Pollution Remediation Section.
Mrs. Castro is currently working on a SFWMD funded project titled: Storm Event Sampling in Biscayne Bay Watershed. The objective of this project is to characterize the types and magnitude of pollutants (including but not limited to nitrogen, phosphorus, and metals as data is available) in stormwater runoff for all land cover areas within the Biscayne Bay watershed. Water quality data will be used to determine storm event mean concentrations (EMCs) for evaluating the total contribution of pollutant loads to Biscayne Bay.
