The labor
intensive work involved in small scale mango production uses little or no
machinery. Besides the use of a basic tractor or flat bed truck to move
and deliver packed fruit the majority of the work is done by hand.
Cherry pickers and picking poles are used to gather the unreachable fruits and
the rest is harvested in buckets. The work atmosphere is casual and high
paced as laborers are friendly and interested in being photographed. |
