Two-spot Cotton Leafhopper
The invasive insect two-spot cotton leafhopper Amrasca biguttula (Ishida) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) is a serious pest of cotton, okra, eggplant, sunflower, and roselle. Tropical hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.) is also a host. The two-spot cotton leafhopper was found in Florida in December 2024. It is a regulated pest by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services-Division of Plant Industry (FDACS-DPI).
